Workbook for lectors
In the letter of St James, we hear: Humbly welcome the Word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls. Be doers of the word and not hearers only. We hear the Scriptures proclaimed at our liturgies. What do we DO with that Word? How about joining a small faith sharing group? Many use Scripture or other spiritual readings or videos to reflect on and discuss. How often do you talk about God’s word with others? DO check out the small groups listed below that you may want to join:
Walking with Purpose
Longing for connection to live a Christian life? Connection to God and to other women? Walking with Purpose invites all women to journey through Scripture together and build relationships that matter! Join us for Walking with Purpose.Millions of Monicas
“Millions of Monicas” is a prayer ministry where we, like St Monica, pray for our children’s return to the practice of their Catholic faith. Women in our parishes are invited to join the very first prayer session at St Paul’s on Monday, March 17 at 6:30pm in church. We will meet for one hour on the third Monday of each month to pray and reflect on Scripture. This is a prayer group with structure; it is not a support group or social group. The prayer time includes an opening song, time to reflect on a Scripture passage, a prayer of trust, a crucifix prayer in small groups, rosary, and ends with a prayer to St Monica and song.
